Solidware Technologies, a start-up software test products company, seeks
a Software Manager and Developer to lead our Illinois-based engineering
team.  This is a highly visible and influential position reporting to
the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
-	Manage the Illinois Engineering Team
-	Work as part of the larger Solidware Engineering team
-	Act as engineering point of contact and interact with development team
in Boulder, Colorado and the University team in Urbana-Champagne
-	As a hands-on Engineering Manager, build and lead a team of engineers
and interns focused on supporting the development team with
implementation, research, and development
-	Set targets for team, track and report progress
-	Set and achieve high standards for quality & stability, including good
testing methodologies
-	Create and foster a team environment
-	Guide team in setting and achieving training/career development goals

Key Requirements:
-	Previous engineering management experience
-	Experience in Object-oriented development
-	Strong skills in development in Java and one or more of the following
programming languages: C, C++, C#
-	Experience in one or more of the following relational databases:
Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Microsoft SQL
-	Exceptional problem solving skills
-	Experience with multi-platform and multi-threaded enterprise software
is a plus

8+ years experience in application development in a business setting
Must be a US citizen or Permanent Resident

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or
equivalent. Master?s Degree preferred.

in Chicago (Bucktown); ideal candidiate has formal engineering and

iVentures10 is a new kind of summer intern program for computer science
students with a great idea for a software or web based start-up company.
 During the 10 summer weeks, student teams will develop their idea into
a working prototype and lay the groundwork to launch their start-up. 

Seeking brilliant, entrepreneurially minded students. We want to fund
entrepreneurial teams of 2 to 4 people interested in starting a company
around their big idea.  We will select up to 4 teams to participate our
inaugural iVentures10 summer intern program.   

>From idea to prototype in 10 weeks.  Sponsored by IllinoisVENTURES,
iVentures10 is a new type of summer intern program designed to fuel the
entrepreneurial energy and ingenuity of University of Illinois computer
science/engineering students.  If you are accepted, you will receive
guidance and capital to help your software or web services start-up
company get off the ground.

No business plan required.  iVentures10 is not a business plan
competition.  The program focuses on building your product.  Sure, we
will go through the basics of your business model to ensure that the
idea has the potential to go to the moon. However, our focus will be on
getting stuff done versus writing a fictional business plan.  At the end
of the 10 week program, you will be able to demo your product to
potential investors, customers and employees!
