Human Kinetics is actively looking for a senior developer to join our
team working to develop a scalable web based system using the latest
production ready Microsoft technologies. The successful candidate will
use development tools such as MS Visual Studio 2005, C#/VB.NET, .NET
2.0, ASP.NET 2.0, and SQL Server 2000/2005. Required Experience 5+ years
of experience designing and developing applications with Microsoft
technologies. 3+ years of experience developing applications using
C#/VB.NET and ASP.NET. 6 months of experience with Visual Studio 2005
and ASP.NET in a Project environment. 5+ years experience with MS SQL
Server including Database Design, T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Triggers.
Over 3 months of SQL Server 2005 Required Skills. .NET 1.1 and 2.0 C+

The individual we're looking for must be a confident CF developer with
relational database design/programming ability (SQL Server preferred),
OOP knowledge and full life cycle development experience. We seek a
creative and capable web programmer (3+ years of experience). XML, web
services and AJAX knowledge a plus. This position requires strong
communication skills. The ideal candidate will be motivated and
immediately productive.

Job Summary:
Associate Developers are assigned to a small development team that
develops and supports Visual Basic (with some C, C++ exposure)
application.  Associate Developers focus mainly on new development with
some maintenance of existing applications.  Basic computer knowledge is
required.  You must be able to sit and remain focused on work for
extended periods of time, work in a very isolated environment with
minimal supervision, and focused on meeting deadlines.  With experience,
you will be expected to research problems, research various solutions,
and devise a work plan to solve those problems.  Associate Developers
are expected to follow existing coding standards and to develop coding
techniques that improve the quality of software written.  You must
participate in developing and improving coding standards and procedures,
and be dedicated to the team, department, and company?s success.

Education Requirements: 
?Bachelor?s degree or graduation from Technical school

Training or Experience Requirements:
?No previous work experience required
?Knowledge of VB6, VB.NET, C/C++, and SQL programming preferred 
?Working knowledge of Windows 2000 through XP preferred
?Minimum 6 hours of actual programming course work

solve problems

Documentation skill: 
Each Associate Developer must write documentation to inform other
departments of the software enhancement or modification completed.  You
will also maintain accurate documentation in programs (i.e. follow
commenting standards, etc.), maintain project maintenance system (PMR
system), and give prompt responses to requests made through e-mail and
phone calls.

Title: User Study Participant

Hiring for:   
The Human-Computer Interaction Research group in the Department of
Computer Science is conducting a study to investigate initial usability
and effectiveness of a new interface and framework for fostering better
collaboration in software teams.

We are looking for project groups of 2-4 individuals that would be
willing to participate in a 1 hour user study.  The study would consist
of your team coming to the HCI lab to perform a group programming task
using our software.  Once the task is complete, we will give you a short
questionnaire to fill out, and have a short question and answer session
to get your feedback.

As compensation for your participation, EACH PARTICPANT WILL RECEIVE $15
CASH at the completion of the study.
