Description:
This is a technical position in the Cognitive Computation Group
(http://cogcomp.cs.illinois.edu) with a focus on working with state-of-
the-art Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing software tools.
This will involve working with researchers in the group to test and
package software for download and use by the research community. Visit

The successful applicant must be proficient in Java, and have experience
with software testing and development for large projects (e.g. 5k+ lines
of code). Experience using C++, Perl and Python is preferred, as is the
ability to write shell scripts for Linux and Windows. Experience from CS
427, 428, and 429 (Software Engineering I & II) would provide a good
background for this position. This position requires strong
organizational and oral communication skills. Must be detail-oriented,
reliable, and self-motivated.

Position can start ASAP, and continue through the fall. Up to
20hrs/week; hours flexible to accommodate your schedule. Pay negotiable
