Primary Responsibilities:
â       Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging,
configuring, and documenting operating systems and software
â       Analyzes software requirements to determine feasibility of
design within time and cost constraints
â       Formulates and designs software systems, using scientific
analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and
consequences of design
â       Develops and directs software system testing procedures,
programming, and documentation
â       Coordinates installation of software system
â       Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques
to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
â       Analyzes the performance of hardware and software interfaces and
identifies alternatives for optimizing the usage of computer resources
â       Explores new technology in order to solve problems in new,
exciting, and more effective ways

â       Minimum GPA of 3.0
â       Basic understanding of Design Patterns
â       Understanding of algorithm analysis and data structures -
understand Collections

Qualifications Continued:
â       Experience developing, designing, and testing applications
â       Basic knowledge of computer networking
â       Ability to follow strict coding standards; demonstrated
understanding of why coding and development standards are needed and
desire to follow them. Basic knowledge of data persistence using a
Relational, NoSQL, or Document database
â       Candidate for B.S. Degree or higher in Computer Science or
related discipline

Javaspaces, etc.)
â       Java web application containers (Tomcat, JBoss, Glassfish,
Weblogic, Websphere, etc.)
â       Web application development (Servlets, JSP, Ruby on Rails,
Django, etc.)
â       Dependency-Injection or Inversion of Control principles and
â       Object-Relation Mapping (Hibernate, JPA)
â       Familiar with how to scale a website
â       Exposure to high volume, high availability web applications
â       Start-up or Internet industry exposure.
