The challenge:
The purpose of the Security Team is to fulfill the mission of
Information Security within the Digital Marketing Business Unit at
Adobe. A Security Specialist must have an understanding of Information
Technology, networking, vulnerabilities, exploits, attack vectors,
system auditing, computer forensics and incident handling. This position
will interface with others across the department and company, and needs
to be professional in their duties at all times.

This position will have the opportunity to improve the security of our
global Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings through various projects.
Basic understanding of information security and a programming background
is essential.

What you need to succeed
âPursuing a Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, MIS or related.
âKnowledge of NSM methods and technologies (Syslog, IDS, HIDS, log
collection, Full Packet Capture)
âExperience with Linux servers
âBasic data parsing (BASH, grep, SED, AWK, etc.)
âIDS types, similarities, and uses (signature-based, anomaly-based)
âUnderstanding of IOC types
âUnderstanding of network protocols: TCP/IP
âBasic malware analysis, analytic diagnostic methods
âOffensive tactics (Pen testing, security assessment and posture)
âDefensive tactics (Development of new security tools, detection
techniques, alerting methods)

Hiring for: Part time
This is a technical position in the Cognitive Computation Group
(http://cogcomp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) with a focus on managing our ongoing
transition to a more consistent implementation of our site using
angular.js, and potentially implementing a more thorough redesign.
Position also involves developing real-time web demonstrations of
Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools. This will involve using and
expanding an existing system for managing NLP tools and their outputs,
which is written in Java. Hours flexible to accommodate your class
schedule. Pay negotiable depending on experience.

The successful applicant must be proficient in Java, and have experience
with scripting languages (ex: PHP, Javascript), including web
development and writing scripts to convert data from one format to
another. Knowledge of database tools such as MySQL is also required.
Experience with angular.js and Twitter Bootstrap strongly preferred.
This position requires strong organizational and oral communication
skills. Must be detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated.

Position starts ASAP to train with current programmer. 10-20 hrs/week in
the spring; 20-40 hrs/wk on campus over the summer. To apply send letter
