Re: [SIGMusic] Discussion: Upcoming year

I installed busybox on my phone. Don't know if that was necessary.

Anyway, I got that RemoteInput thing running. its dead simple.  I found a bit of code thats supposed to be how they send touch to uinput

Ok, I'll push it all to git soon enough.  jake and I made a repo: http://github.com/rjmarsan/TuioForAndroid  let me know if you want access.

I'll strip it down, make a build file, and we can start work on TUIO.  Sound good to anyone?

Also, Arduino is a neat project for the visuals, but I can't see it being very useful until we write good software for the Tacchi that can interface with the Arduino in neat ways based on user interaction.

Well, no. I think they're suggesting that using Ardour would be an alternative to doing the DJ software based around Traktor. It's one or the other.

That may be better saved for when the DJ software is done.

Are you thinking about using Ardour code on the Android platform, then? Otherwise, we'd need to have some Linux distro running on a VM instead. Or port some of the code to Windows, but that would suck since it all has to do with audio.
