The ECE Pulse board would like to invite ACM members to participate in our annual technical conference. ECE Pulse was held for the first time in Spring 2012, and with over 200 students attending the networking dinner and tech talks, it was a huge success! The goal of the event is to inspire students with the most innovative projects and groundbreaking technologies.
This year, ECE Pulse will be held on February 15-16, 2013, on the engineering campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. On February 15th, the event will resume at 5:00pm at NCSA with the Keynote speech. Our Keynote speaker, Lt. Gen. Eugene L. Tattini is an Illinois alumni and currently works for Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. His speech will be followed by the Networking Dinner where students will have the opportunity to network with the keynote speaker, company representatives and participating students.
Technical talks will be held on February 16th from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served. We also have a social mixer at Murphy’s pub at 8:30 pm that evening.
Additionally, technical competitions will be held prior to the conference on Saturday February 9th. The Competitions for ECE Pulse 2013 involve different categories to suit all expertise levels and many diverse areas of ECE and CS. Students ranging from freshmen with little experience to Grad students are welcome to participate. The higher the competition level, the more difficult the challenge is, but also the better the prizes! The prizes range from gift cards to four NVIDIA GTX480 GPUs valued at over $300 for the higher-level first places. Also, winners are invited to an exclusive dinner with corporate representatives!
Attending ECE Pulse will help you widen your social circle and increase your knowledge about the latest innovations and cutting edge technologies.
