A Special Interest Group for Operating Systems


SIGOPS is a Special Interest Group that is a part of ACM@UIUC. We welcome members of all skill levels and majors and hope to develop meaninfgul dialog and construct new and exciting tools to advance systems development.

Interest Areas

SIGOPS's areas of interest include: operating systems, file and storage systems, virtualization, networking as it relates to operating systems and the interaction of hardware and software development. With some specific areas being:

Meeting Information

Feel free to join us every Monday at 7 PM in 4405 Siebel Center. We usually hold tutorials on various system programming topics and have time for project groups to meet. We also plan to create a program for developing a homebrew operating system.
